Looking at buying a used 2005-2010 Mustang GT. The 2008 I looked at today has a manual transmission, less than 90k miles, with an aftermarket Hurst quick shifter that looks a lot like this one:


It grinded when shifting into any gear if I did it with any speed. If I made a point of staying in neutral briefly with the stick, it'd then shift, no complaining -- as in: in 3rd, shift to neutral for a beat, go to 4th, no...
