Was accelerating between 50-60mph and the O/D OFF started flashing and the engine started redlining and dropped the gear to 3rd, managed to drive it home, it’s not going above 3rd gear now, the O\D switch wasn’t pressed and now the gearbox won’t go into r

Hopefully short background:
My kid lost the only key I had to the vehicle somewhere in a pond.
Drilled out old ignition switch and replaced with new switch from O'Reilly's and ordered one from car-part.com to have a backup in case something went wrong.

I have a staggered wheel set up..
Front: 15x6 rim w/ P205/60/R15 tire
Rear: 15x8 rim w/ P295/50/R15 tire
If I wanted a "spare tire" (road trips) how would I go about it?
