Have a 2006 convertible GT 4.0 V6 and was wondering if anyone has successfully carried out an engine swap with the 4.6L V8?

I picked up a 97 Mustang GT 5 speed not too long ago and I have a decent bit of seat time in it. I drove it home after buying it, no issues through every gear. I drove it a handful of times after that, then on a random occasion, 4 to 5th grinded 3 times

Cannot get the car to Idle. Had the same setup previously and only changed long block. Upgraded to Edlebrock intake, 70mm TB. and MAF. 24lb injectors with proper fuel pressure. Just changed Idle Air Control. Fuel guage constant, good spark TPS sensor set
