If you’re looking for the ultimate Ford GT accessory, then this table might be it.

It’s more art than furniture, but this coffee table is amazing. It looks like a small Ford GT has been melted into the table’s surface, but high-end design and manufacturing firm Discommon goes much further than that. The tabletop is carved from a four foot long, four-inch thick block of aluminium. The designers say that it has 50 hours of design time, plus another 50 in developing the texture. That’s on top of the time required to machine and then anodize the table.

The customer who ordered the table was involved in the surface finish, texture plan, and the colour of the anodizing. This one probably matches the owner’s car. That’s what you get when you are prepared to spend $20,000 on a table. The only question remaining is where to put your coffee. Better use a coaster.

If you’re looking to put one of these Ford GT coffee tables in your own living room or garage, we’ve got bad news. The one-off is part of a series of 10. Each one made from a vehicle, which can include aircraft or ships. The catch is that Discommon will only do the same vehicle once.
