I have a stock 289 I’d like to beef up a little. Engine shop near me said to start with aluminum heads and they quoted me 5-6 thousand dollars for the job. Does this seem fairly reasonable in today’s market? I would like to do it myself but have no experience but from looking online aluminum heads seem to be around 1-2k
