I know this is a bit crazy, but does anyone know if you can run a 1990's vintage pushrod 5.0L using a S197 or S550 computer and harness? The reason I ask is I would like to use a complete S197 or S550 harness in a Fox Body mustang, but retain the original motor 1987-1993 pushrod 5.0L V8 for aesthetics.

I completely understand that a Coyote swap would make more sense, but I would like this project to be unique. I don't want to debate the merits of a Coyote swap, as I'd much rather talk...

Can it be done? Running 1990 pushrod 5.0L using S197 (or S550) computer?
