20 March 2018, 08:00

Ford has revealed what the new and exclusive color “Need for Green” looks like on the 2019 Mustang.

Last week, the American automaker announced a few changes for the 2019 model year Mustang, including the new paint color Need for Green. It decided not to debut the new shade until now, however, just in time for St. Patrick’s Day. As you can tell, it’s a dynamic, bold, and modern take on green and fits the Mustang’s sporty personality.

Ford says Need for Green will be available this summer across the 2019 Mustang lineup.

Along with the new paint choice, Ford has resurrected the California Special nameplate for the 2019 Mustang. In addition, the GT model gains rev-matching, while the first-ever Bang & Olufsen audio system for the Mustang has been added. Ford Mustang EcoBoost shoppers also get to benefit from the active valve performance exhaust, previously only available on the V8 GT model.

Look for pricing information for the 2019 Ford Mustang to be announced closer to its launch this summer.

“This is a color Mustang fans will celebrate because of its confident and youthful attitude,” said Barbara Whalen, Ford color and materials manager. “Need for Green is vibrant and jumps out at you, giving Mustang owners a look that definitely stands out in a crowd.”
