A new charity fundraiser is giving you the chance to spend a night with Eleanor. Don’t worry, not like that. This is a wholesome evening. And it’s not with the yellow and black 1971 Sportroof disguised as a 1973. It’s the other one. The 1967 fastback disguised as a Shelby and wearing that increasingly iconic bodykit and paint scheme.
Drive Toward a Cure is raising money for Parkinson’s Awareness month, and the grand prize of the draw is a trip to the Alisal Guest Ranch and Resort in Santa Ynez, California. There will be some other choice vehicles on site, including a 1964 Porsche 356 and a Mercedes-AMG GTR, but the star here is a real, on-screen used 1967 Mustang from the 2000 version of Gone in 60 Seconds. That’s right, you can put your butt in the same bucket seat as Nicholas Cage.
This is a dinner date, so you don’t get to drive the car. But with the luck that on-screen Eleanor drivers have had, maybe that’s for the best. Entries into the draw close April 30th.
