Voltage regulator delete

I’ve got a motorcraft D7PF-10316-AA regulator that I want to remove and add an internally regulated alternator. Do I need to jump any wires or should I be good to just remove?
It’s on a 73 mustang Mach 1, 351 cobra jet.
