The world of hot rods is increasingly filled with trucks, and the F100 is one of the all-time classics. Case in point, this 1953 F100 from Classic Car Studio in St Louis, Missouri.
The truck features a Ford Racing Boss 302 engine making 345 hp, paired to a Bowler-Tremec TKO 500 five-speed transmission. That sends power to a Ford 9-inch rear end with 3.50 posi, all of which is kept on the road by a TCI chassis with RideTech shocks.
The F100 was brought to the garage and according to Noah Alexander, Classic Car Studio, it looked like it had been kept underwater because of all the mold and the rust.
As a result, it sounds as though just about everything apart from the cab had to be replaced, but the result is this lovely green truck that’s a masterclass in subtlety.
Take a thorough tour of the truck above and watch Classic Car Studio’s other builds on Classic Car Studio’s new Velocity channel show, “Speed is the New Black.”
