Here’s a Rare Opportunity to Own a Practically Brand New Ford GT
18 May 2018, 08:00

This Saturday, a 2017 Ford GT with just seven miles on the odometer is crossing the auction block.

The number 48 of 250 Ford GTs produced in 2017 will be one of the main attractions for Mecum Auctions’ Indy 2018 auction, wearing an Ingot Silver exterior with black striping. The 2017 Ford GT is powered by a 3.5-liter twin-turbo EcoBoost engine with 647 horsepower, paired to a seven-speed dual clutch transmission with a manual shift mode. Other highlights on the GT crossing the auction block include active multi-mode suspension, gloss carbon fiber lowers, silver forged aluminum wheels with titanium lugnuts, Dark Energy interior, carbon ceramic disc brakes, and silver brake calipers.

Based on the listing on Mecum Auctions’ website, it doesn’t appear that this particular Ford GT is being auctioned off for charity. The supercar retails for $453,750 so it will likely fetch more than that at auction, especially given that it’s practically brand new. Earlier this year, however, the number-23 production Ford GT fetched $2.5 million at the Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale auction, with all proceeds benefiting the Autism Society of North Carolina’s IGNITE program.
