Raj Nair is Following the Ford GT to Multimatic
19 May 2018, 08:00

Recently ousted at Ford for unspecified breaches of the company’s code of conduct, Raj Nair has now found himself a new job at Multimatic Motorsport, the company that actually builds the Ford GT.

News broke thanks to a Ford GT forum post and was then confirmed to Road & Track by the secretive Canadian company’s VP of marketing.

According to the report, Nair started his position as President and COO of Multimatic on May 7.

“Raj brings extensive knowledge, perspective, and skills in engineering, manufacturing, management and overall auto industry experience to Multimatic,” a PR person told R&T. “These qualities will help Multimatic attain another level of performance for our customers.”

Nair played a central role in bringing the Ford GT to life in his time as Chief Technology Officer at Ford. In addition to the GT, Nair oversaw the launch of the aluminum-bodied F-150, the 50th-anniversary Mustang, and many more.

In the above-mentioned comment on a post at FordGTForum.com, Nair apparently commented on his feelings about the new position.

“I’m really excited about joining the Multimatic team and our future,” Nair, apparently, wrote. “And of course, I’m so happy to be able to stay part of the GT community!”
