If you thought the 2018 Ford F-150 Raptor was the ultimate desert jump machine, then you’re wrong. That’s because Ford is upgrading the Raptor for 2019 to make it even more jump-ready.

The Fox 3.0 dual-bypass shocks are getting an upgrade. This year’s dampers get Live Valve technology. It’s continuously variable damping that adjusts the compression damping rate of the shock to suit the terrain. Body and suspension sensors know what’s going on and adjust accordingly. The truck even knows when you’ve sent it off of a sweet jump and will stiffen the dampers to make sure that you don’t hit the end of the 13-inches front and 13.9-inches of rear suspension travel with a bang.

As an added bonus, the shocks will also improve comfort. Not just when sending it over whoops, but on road too. Handling should see similar improvements on and off-road.

To keep you in place, Ford is adding Recaro sport seats that use blue Alcantara inserts and have accent stitching in a blue borrowed from the Ford GT.

Ford is also adding Trail Control, a low-speed cruise control that adds go to the stop of hill descent control.

To show off your 2019 model, Ford added two blue shades and a new black paint. Plus beadlock capable wheels and a new tailgate appliqué.
