You may remember that pro wrestler John Cena got onto Ford’s bad side when he broke a purchase contract and sold his Ford GT shortly after buying it. Cena’s legal team today announced that the two parties have reached a settlement, putting their beef to bed.

Cena, like every other Ford GT buyer, signed a contract to hold onto his $450,000, limited run car for 24 months before selling it. This was intended as a way to keep speculators from buying cars just to sell them on for a profit.

Ford handpicked its buyers–enthusiasts all–to help the GT gain an aura of true performance, unlike most supercars that just sit in a garage collecting dust and preserving their low mileage.

The wrestler, though, decided to resell his GT just a month after taking delivery, breaking his contract with Ford, and earning a lawsuit in the process.

Cena argued that his sales contract never prevented him from selling the car, but has apparently agreed to give Ford an undisclosed amount of money that will be donated to charity.

Although the number is not known, Ford argued in the lawsuit that it should get any profits Cena made in the sale of the car, which apparently amounted to more than $75,000.

“I love the Ford GT and apologize to Ford, and encourage others who own the car to respect the contract,” said Cena in a statement from his lawyers to Jalopnik. “I am pleased we could resolve this matter outside of court, and that a worthy charity will benefit from one of the most iconic cars in the world.”

While Cena might be out of the woods, it seems that Ford isn’t done with the matter, though. Although they’ve settled with Cena, they’re still going after the dealership that bought the GT. I guess they’re learning the lesson that Ferrari learned 50 years ago, don’t piss off the Fords.
