Ford Performance and Vaughn Gittin Jr.’s tribute to the RAF and the Eagle Squadron of US pilots is ready to take off at the Goodwood Festival of speed. The Mustang makes big power, uses Spitfire materials, and is about to head up the hill before landing at auction.

The Eagle Squadron Mustang GT uses a Ford Performance supercharger kit to boost the 5.0L V8 to 700 hp and 610 lb-ft. It’s backed by a six-speed stick with a Ford short shifter. The upgraded rear axle is also out of the Ford Performance kit.

It uses an RTR Tactical Performance Suspension that has in-car adjustable magnetic dampers, lowering springs, and adjustable sway bars. 305/30-20 rear Nitto 555 tires keep the power in check.

The interior sports Recaro racing buckets and an embroidered Eagle Squadron logo. The hand engraved shift knob comes from a melted down F-35 Lightning and the badge on the dash comes from aluminum from a Spitfire.

Outside, the car wears a camo design to match the squadron’s fighters. It has an RTR carbon wide-body kit with spoiler, integrated lights, and aero additions.

The auction takes place July 26th, to benefit the Experimental Aircraft Association’s youth aviation program. It’s the 20th year for Ford to support the program.
