An alleged internal Ford document first posted to Mustang6g.com implies that the GT500 will make 720 hp, 650 lb-ft of torque, and weigh 4,225 lbs.
The document, which includes engine and vehicle data for an unnamed vehicle, also indicates that the engine will be a 5.2-liter supercharged V8 and a 7,500 RPM red line (where max hp will be made).
The GT500 will also have a 190 mph top speed and a carbon fiber driveshaft running to 3.73 rear gears, if the document is to believed, which isn’t a given.
There are some weird details here, though. In the first box at the top right of the page, the document misspells petrol. Two boxes over, too, the sheet asks for power in kW, but the 720 hp figure is written in “Hp.” There are also instances of inconsistent capitalization.
All considered together, if gives this document the faint whiff of illegitimacy. Still, all of the figures are at least believable. Even the weight puts it on par with a Hellcat.
