Your Gateway to a Brand New 1966 Ford Bronco
08 December 2018, 08:00

If you’re not quite happy with where Ford looks to be going with the upcoming Bronco, or if you’re not willing to wait, or if you just really want the classic off-roader, there’s a new option for a new Bronco. Gateway Broncos has signed a deal with Ford to build brand-new 1966-1977 Broncos under license.

“We’re honored to be recognized by Ford Motor Company and consider this license agreement a tremendous privilege,” said Seth Burgett, CEO of Gateway Bronco.

The deal means that they can build new body shells and sell them for the road, instead of just taking an old one and doing the best they can to restore it. It’s allowed under 2015’s Low Volume Motor Vehicle Manufacturers Act.

Gateway Bronco offers up three models of the Bronc with prices from $120,000 to $180,000. They’ll all get a new Ford 5.0L Coyote V8 and a modern six-speed automatic. A big improvement over the original powertrains. Gateway also adds modern rust protection, suspension changes, and chassis revisions to improve driveability. There are also updated interiors and extensive customization options. And it all comes with a warranty.

They don’t build new cars the way they used to? Well, now they do.
