Hennessey Performance Engineering, the Texas based tuning shop famous for its wildly powerful Dodge Vipers and tuned General Motors LS creations, is promising a range of off-road and performance upgrades for the 2020 Ford Bronco.
It’s not clear if John Hennessey, the owner of HPE, has the inside scoop on the 2020 Bronco or if he and his team are simply planning on offering upgrades for the Bronco when it arrives. The shop has a dedicated landing page on its website for the SUV, however, and even does into slight detail on the upgrades it plans to perform on the highly anticipated Bronco revival.
The text on the 2020 Ford Bronco page on HPE’s site reads:
“Hennessey Performance will be offering a line of high-performance and extreme off-road upgrades for the 2020 Ford Bronco. Upgrades will include high-flow air induction system, intercooler system, stainless steel exhaust, larger off-road tires and wheels, suspension kit, and so much more…stay tuned!”
It seems as though HPE is not only planning on making the 2020 Ford Bronco more powerful, but more capable off-road as well. If the Bronco is packing Ford’s EcoBoost V6 under the hood, HPE should have no problem upping the output, with the company offering a 600 hp upgrade kit for the 3.5-liter twin-turbo V6 powered Ford F-150 Raptor. It also offers off-road parts for the truck including more robust bumpers and 10-spoke off-road wheels.
The 2020 Ford Bronco is expected to make its debut in early 2020 before going on sale later in the year. We wouldn’t be surprised if Hennessey had a Bronco to tune and upgrade very shortly after the vehicle’s debut.
