And its got 507-horsepower on tap straight out of the box.

Ford Performance’s new Z2363 crate motor is a 363 cubic inch small-block which is based on Ford’s famous Boss 302 crate motor. According to the Ford Performance catalog, the engine makes an astounding 500-horsepower at 6,500 rpm, and 450 lb-ft of twist at 5,100 rpm.

The $10,650 crate motor is intended as an upgrade for those already pushing the boundaries of the smaller Boss 302 engine, the Z2363 comes with a bore x stroke of 4.125-in x 3.400-in, forged steel crankshaft, forged steel con rods, forged Mahle pistons, a hydraulic roller camshaft, Ford Performance aluminum cylinder heads, 10.2:1 compression, and cast aluminum valve covers.

It doesn’t include a distributor, intake, or flywheel, but can be had with front or rear sump oiling depending on your application. The engine is marked for competition use only and Ford offers a 24-month or 24,000-mile warranty to the original purchaser.
