There’s something about a shooting brake that’s just so effortlessly cool. The long and low proportions, the weirdness, the wagoniness all combine to make something that’s more than the sum of its parts. Like this 1969 Mustang wagon.
For sale up in Canada, this Mustang wagon is powered by a 351 V8 that, apparently, runs perfectly. It sends its power to the wheels through a 4-speed manual and has been converted to a wagon. I know we already mentioned that, but it feels worth repeating.
Unfortunately, the hatch kind of looks like a Pinto’s, which makes a lot of sense when you think about it, but when you think about that comparisons to the Pinto are never flattering.
But is a Mustang wagon cool enough to make you ignore that hatch? The ad says the seller is only asking for $38, which we assume is supposed to mean $38,000 CAD, which is a little more than 28,000 in USD.
