A pickup carrying a pair of GT500s crashed this morning on the I-75 just north of downtown Detroit. Details on the crash remain unfortunately scant, but WDIV Detroit reports that the lanes blocked by the truck and trailer have at least been reopened.
Although it is not known if anyone suffered serious injuries, the accident at least appears to have been fairly contained to the pickup and its trailer.
The GT500s on the trailer appear to have dealer stickers in the windows, suggesting they weren’t privately owned.
While Mustangs appear to have remained on the trailer, long scrapes in the road as well as a deformed hood on the silver car suggest that the damage was more superficial.
What the fate of these cars will be is unknown, but there may be a high school in Detroit whose shop class is about to get the best donations ever.
