Vanilla Ice is Back With a Brand New Restoration
29 January 2020, 08:00

Ever wonder what happened to the most famous 5.0 in the world? Well, Ice is back with a brand new restoration. Rob Van Winkle, aka Vanilla Ice has spent the last two years restoring that white 5.0 with the ragtop down so his hair can blow, and putting girlies on standby all along A1A, Beachfront Ave.

The car was made famous by the Ice Ice Baby video, but also in Ice’s ode to the car “Rollin in My 5.0” which if you’ve never seen a Mustang get down, slammin’ and jammin’ to the new swing sound, is at the bottom and horrifically worth a watch. Vanilla Ice announced on Twitter late last week he still had the car and that he would be revealing it at Cars and Coffee Palm Beach last weekend, posting the above photo of it in mid-air.

“This is a nostalgic car that simulates pop culture as you know, a sign of times, the nineties had the neon colors, we had the Ninja Turtles, we had Beavis and Butthead, we got our movies at Blockbuster, we had cassette decks and we had more bass than you can imagine in the backseat,” Vanilla Ice told CBS12 News.

The Fox-body has been completely redone with an amazingly 1990s interior including loads of red and white leather, a Go Ice faux license plate, and a trunk full of Vegas pumpin’. If there was a problem? Yo, he solved it. Check out the clip on CBS12 for the full scope of this magnificent beast.

Want more Ice Ice baby? Stay tuned for his new show, Mystical Rides, coming to the History Channel later this year.
