Purchased an 87 HO 302 for a 65 Merc comet. A Weiland intake manifold had been installed to convert to carburetor. Stock specs for the 87 were 10' BTDC but the car does not 'get up and go', as expected. Since I have an HEI all in one distributor there are several interference points with the intake manifold so some grinding will be necessary to advance the timing. But does anyone know from experience what the timing should be? Headers are the only modifications made. Cam is unknown but...
