2000 mustang Won't move in Drive

Yesterday I bought a 2000 mustang, drove great for the test drive even drove it for an hour and a half getting home. It did great. Then today I went to do what I needed to to get it registered and the 1st gear didn't want to shift, after a bit longer driving and getting home it got to where it didn't even want to move in first gear. Ended up pushing it home a little ways. It's an automatic. I'm not sure what other info to give but I could sure use some help.
