So I've read some threads about not being able to raise or lower top via the raise/lower switch due an electrical or mechanical problem. I've looked in the owners manual and it doesn't address manual operation of the top if its inoperable. Not such a big deal if its up, but if you had it down and you couldn't raise it because it started raining that could be a big problem.
We had a bmw z4 that had a hydraulic bypass valve you could set to manually operate the top if needed.
