RTR Celebrates 10 Years With Limited-Edition 750 hp Widebody Mustang
31 March 2020, 08:00

Vaughn Gitten Jr’s RTR Vehicles have been ready to rock for 10 years now, so they’re throwing a bit of a party to celebrate. That party is the 10th Anniversary Mustang RTR Spec 5 with more power, more aggressive bodywork, and more.

To celebrate 10 years of cars inspired by the pro drifter, Gitten partnered with Lebanon Ford, an Ohio Ford dealer that’s making a name for itself selling high-performance Fords at shockingly low prices. This one is another one of those big-power cars, but at $50k over the sticker of the Mustang you put underneath of it, we’re not sure it qualifies as a shockingly low price anymore.

10 cars will be built, all in Lead Foot Grey with a choice of one of five accent colours. What else do you get? For a start, Spec 5 widebody flares, giving room in the wheel arches for 9.5 inch wide wheels up front and 11s in the back wearing 285 and 305-wide Nitto NT555 tires. There’s a full RTR body kit including upper and lower grilles, a chin spoiler, hood vents, rear spoiler and diffuser, badges, new rockers, and more. It also boats RTR Tactical Performance COilovers to improve handling along with front and rear sway bars.

But under the hood is more than enough to match all the fancy bodywork. A Ford Performance Phase 2 supercharger kit gives the 5.0 750 hp and 670 lb-ft of torque and there are upgraded driveline parts to make sure they can handle that grunt.

“I started RTR 10 years ago as a project of passion. I wanted to bring something new and fresh to the Mustang World. Now 10 years later, I have an incredible team at RTR Vehicles, and we have multiple RTR models available all over the world for Ford vehicles. While we are just getting started, we thought it would be a great idea to celebrate our first decade of living the RTR dream by launching this 10th Anniversary Spec 5. This 10th Anniversary Mustang RTR Spec 5 is the most epic representation of what RTR stands for,” said Gitten.

With only 10 set to be built, if you want one of these, we’d get on it fast. And take the lime green accents. You’re welcome.
