I put a 5.0 HO INMY 66 convertible. I cant seem to route the cable so that it is not up against the exhaust manifold. as a result, the cable becomes welded to the inside of the casing. I have wrapped the cable with an insulator at the point of contact with the manifold with only limited success. I'm sure there are other who have experienced this proble. I'd like to hear how they have delt with it.
