HEI Distributor Does Not Seat; Approx 1/2 inch off boss (See Photo)
Upgrading SBF 302; Attempting to Seat new HEI Distributor 65K Volt (Allegedly Compatible with SBF 221; 260; 289 & 302)
#1 Cylinder at TDC; Gear does not engage; Turned Camshaft in attempt to mesh gears = no joy
Appears the Distributor Mainshaft does fit into Oil Pump drive Shaft about 1/4 inch.
Is the HEI Distributor
Mainshaft too long? Has me stumped.
