On the 68, 289 2bbl mustang I am working on I had to cut the belts off when I got it. Looking at the Power steering pulley it does not look like it was aligned properly with the outer pulley ( the inner appears to be for the Alternator). Is it possible that the spacer under the nut on the top bolt of the PS pump is suppossed to be behind the bracket in the photo below?
