Ford’s 7.3-liter pushrod V8 engine can now be bought on its own. So people looking to do swaps no longer have to wonder if it’s worth the price of an F-250.
Instead, it will cost $8,150 for a fully-dressed long block with a throttle body, exhaust manifolds, ignition could, and the production flex plate.
Ford debuted the 7.3 last year to the excitement of many fans of big-block power. The engine makes 430 hp and 475 lb-ft of torque at 4,000 rpm.
