I replaced the timing chain and gears on my ‘66 289 and now it smokes from the breather and the oil dipstick tube. It runs strong but idles rough in park and won’t stay running in drive without raising the rpms. It idled fine after the installation before I drove it for the first time. What did I do wrong or did the new chain cause a problem? It is the original engine with 53,000 miles. Thanks
