In October, Ford’s outspoken North American Product Communications tried to claim Ford wasn’t working on a 2018 Bullitt Mustang, but proof exists, that not only does it exist, but that we’re likely to see it debut shortly.
Spotted at Lower Wacker and Columbus Drive in Chicago, the 2018 Bullit Mustang was found with a full camera crew in tow, presumably shooting advertising assets for the coupes upcoming debut. Allegedly, one of the camera guys got upset with the cell phone shooting sleuth, and even tried to get him to stop taking pictures by shouting “this car hasn’t been released yet!”
Of course, Ford still officially denies such a model exists, but the dark green paint, spoiler delete, black Torq-Thrust style wheels with chrome surround, and a lack of discernable badging give the car’s identity away almost immediately.
Truthfully, Ford never tried that hard to keep the car a secret, it was originally teased during a video done with Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson when the 2018 facelift first appeared earlier this year.
It’s unclear when we could see Ford officially unveil the special edition, but the 2018 North American International Auto Show in Detroit is certainly the leading candidate.
