I gave my 1968 289 V8 a tune-up a few weeks ago and everything was going fine until I set the timing. As I was tightening the distributor clamp the engine stalled. I restarted it and it sounded like a rock tumbler then stalled again and wouldn't start again for anything. My Dad who has been a high school auto shop teacher tested all the electrical wires, points and condenser with his meter and they seem fine. But, there was no spark getting to the plugs.
