I thought I would share this experience I had concerning a full timing job I was hired to do an a 2004 F150 5.4L 3v. A buddy of mine has a shop that he services older era vehicles. A gentleman came in with a 2004 F150 5.4L 3V with 154k (current owner bought it with ~100k) miles that was having drivability issues. He had taken it to a dealership and was told it needed a complete timing job. My buddy normally would have turned him away since he only works on 60s, 70s, and early 80s vehicles...
