To start I'll tell you I'm a 33 yr old female with very little car knowledge lol
I have an 04 mustang 4.6L manual transmission. Last night when I got home from work and tried to kill my car, the key just kept spinning loosely with no tension and the car would not shut off. I could even take the key out and it wouldnt shut off. I finally just put it in gear and killed it manually, but the car lights/radio/etc still worked. I'm thinking it could be the ignition switch?
