I had a pretty descent 289 build in my 67. Recently a lobe on my XE262 went flat, maybe 10K miles. Before that I twisted a rod when an intake gasket failed and a cylinder sucked water in. Rather than repair this engine again I want to build a new one using a roller block. I'm looking at a Dart SHP.

I want to target 350HP @ 5500RPM, not hard to do. I still want good low end torque, what I had with the XE262 was fine. I can build a moderate 302 or a more mild 331/347. Any thoughts on pros and...
