Just for giggles I looked up the performance specs for my 2005 S197 4.0 convertible. I then did a comparison with the 1965 K code Fastback I owned back in the 60s. I was very surprised! The 65' was rated at 271 HP and my 05 is rated at 210.

Specs show the 65 did 0 to 60 in 7.6 seconds and the quarter in 15.9.
The 05 specs are 0 to 60 in 6.8 seconds and the quarter in 15.3.
