I've seen a few posts about this randomly over the internet, but none that give a clear answer. I need to replace the gasket on the upper oil pan, but my Haynes manual says I MUST pull the engine first. I've come across some post that say you can do it without doing so but don't say how to get clearance for the pan to drop out. Has anyone done this? 2008 4.0. Thanks in advance!
