Months ago I bought some hood struts on sale and finally got around to installing them.

Why did I wait so long to put them on?
Not sure how many of you are still using the factory prop rod, but besides making it so much easier to open and close the hood and not having to negotiate around the prop rod when working, they raise the hood considerably higher than the rod does, which made my recent project of replacing the severely hardened valve cover gaskets much...
