I've never torn down a 4.6 or been very far inside but it looks like i might be soon. 2001 GT 4.6 SOHC Started it one morning and it had a LOUD metal hitting metal sound toward the back of the right bank. Got a DTC for "misfire cylinder 3". Found spark plug blown completely out. Repaired plug thread and turned over by hand. It sounded and felt ok so i started it and got the same noise.
