Hi all,

I recently began tearing my engine apart in search of what is causing a very loud clattering sound which I believe may be a spun bearing. However both my mechanic and Ford diagnosed the sound as lifter tick so decided to pull the driver side valve cover first.

Car is burning 1qt/1k miles and has 65k miles. Compression was 170-175 across cylinders 5 through 8. Plugs looked consistent as well. Going to follow up with a compression test on 1-4 as well.
