I'm currently at my wits end trying to figure this out with how much conflicting information is out there about the PATS system

Long story short, I lost my only key to my 96 GT and it's left me in a bit of a pickle. I took the ignition cylinder out for reasons that I won't get into, only to discover the copper ring that sits on the cylinder for the PATS system broke off.
