Hi. I have a 1964.5 260 cu in running the original Eaton pump. The car also has A/C so the A/C compressor is mounted above the power steering pump and the power steering reservoir is mounted remotely on the side panel of the engine bay.

The pump was rebuilt about 2 years/2000 miles ago and has worked fine with no noise until now. I am using Type F fluid.

A groaning noise and vibration has started when the steering wheel is turned left or right and power steering fluid is being forced back...
