So this is my 2000 V6. Original owner, 44,000 miles. Yesterday I discovered a good amount of transmission fluid on the garage floor after driving to my son's house to change the oil. Never seen a leak before this. Did a little research and we found a sopping wet area at the shifter. Not a mechanic but do basic maintenance. What does this look like? Gasket?? or something else. This is the only area where we found fluid. It was clearing coming from this area. No fluid anywhere else...
