I have a 1964 big block car. Not a mustang, but the tbird forum isn't very active.

The car has the original 3.0 differential, not traction lok. I swapped the original 3-speed FX transmission with an AOD from an 80's Crown Vic. Non electronic. Now I want to change out the differential gears to a higher ratio, something around 3.5, to improve acceleration, while still being able to keep RPMs down to 2000 or so at 70mph.

When I do the swap, will a traction lok fit into the housing?
