On my 1998 Mustang GT the dipstick seal has failed. I've seen on forums that it's a genuinely "easy" job to do but sadly it hasn't been for me as I am having trouble removing the one bolt that holds the dipstick to the bell housing. I have tried heat but I don't know if I put the heat on for long enough but to no avail. Am I doing something wrong or do I have the wrong tools for the job? I clearly cannot get a ratchet with a U joint in there from under the car since the socket won't grab on...
