I always used to think there may be very minor variations between full synthetic and synthetic blend.

I have heard the full synthetic motor oil is made up of the base of full chemicals such as polyurethane type stuff. And in the synthetic blend, there may be some additional chemicals only to increase the lubricants and fast flow features.
